In the current release of the Sailfish OS, the Jolla camera shows a clear tendency to overexpose images. Especially in low-contrast situations this is visible.
Furthermore, the images show a generally red-shifted hue, which can be seen on white surfaces very pronounced.
Both problems should be addressed in the camera firmware (or the application, depending on implementation).

With latest 1.0.2.5 update we tuned a bit the exposure / ISO tunings , especially in low lights conditions.
Still there is one issue with AWB in artificially lit environment which didn't make it on time for this release.
How about a manual AWB (with save option) or an automatic readjust?

I agree that AWB sometimes is less than perfect. However in most cases, it is the only option that makes any sense on mobile cameras as the WB presets are usually not recocmmended for most of the situations.
Any by the way, the hereby described issue is most likely not due to bad AWB calibration, it seems to be an issue of the internal RAW->JPEG converter inside the camera module or in the post-processing algorithm.
The same applies to the unfortunate exposure which seems a bit to high (let's say around +1/3 EV)
This is quite a pity as the Jolla camera seems to capture quite a lot detail and renders nicely sharp images (at least under good lighting).
Those issues can be fixed by software and that would be just a nice fix as this could improve the overall quality of the photos quite a lot.

The AWB algorithms are never perfect (happens with > 1000 eur semi-pro DSLRs, too). In some cases the pre-set white balances (cloudy, sunny, fluorecent, tungsten) produce much better results in respective light-conditions.
