Hello i know that this is a duplicate, but i would really like to stress this point. i am running an aquafish converted to C. i am on 2.1.0.10.

on sunday i did send 3 sms to 2 different people. i did not got an response. my wife told me she called me, and i could see it in her log (jolla1), but my aqua does not show the call, nor did it ring. on monday i did try to call a friend, and got a unknown number tu-tu-tu. i did reboot the device and received an answer for a message sent on sunday. today morning (after returning from flightmode with situations app) i did receive two other messages from sunday's comunication's, more then 1,5 days later.

further more, i have a friend in slovenia. he receives most of may sms', but i get only every 3rd answer back.

it is at least once a week, that i can not make a phone call, restart network connection from utilities, does not help always. reboot seems more reliable. now i have to assume that during this time the phone also does not receive calls.

this is now starting to be really, really anoying. i could have upvoted some already existing thread, but i think that this does not really reflect good enough the fact, that a reliability on phone calls / sms is the minimum requirement for a phone.

please please have a look on that issue

I voted up :)

It seems to me, this issue also depends on cellular network, sim-card, stars in the sky, etc...

my feeling is that reconnection after network problems message does not work properly

I have the same issue on a Jolla C with 2.1.0.11. Phone service is completely lost after some time and I cannot detect it unless somebody tells me that I'm not available or I try to make a call. SMS will not be sent and and received. Only data connection is present. After a restart of the phone, everything is working properly again.

Workaround: Remember to restart your phone every day or two!

Nice to have: A feature that detects phone service loss and restarts it automatically. I'm working with cellular modems that have a feature for a forced daily restart to ensure availability - not a bad idea, too.

Regarding the vsry last part: That is a workaround, the most ugly workaround. We all know, half of the computers in the world are just doing it's job reliable because of CRON, but it is not a solution.

Detecting a loss is a solution, maybe not the nice to lost the connection in first place, but a solution. Recovery of connection should be done with a reboot, just a service restart or so.

I know, it's not a nice workaround. A reboot is also not good as long as you have to unlock the phone and enter the PIN when you don't notice it. A fix of that issue would be nice ;)
