After using three consecutive times the standard interface to update the Sailfish OS, I try to look in the /var/log/systemupdate.log.

The update was stopped because of Alien and Co problem. Then I switched off the alien Android (from the settings menu) and restarted the update.

It works! Still work in progress at the moment, but before just after the "Sailfish OS" and odometer white bar at the beginning (<5%), I received a message saying ~"update impossible try later". Then I had to restart from the download part. So quite long tries!

Now I'm at 98% done (on the "SAILFISH OS" white bar).

I hope it could help some of you! Best regards Thoric

(Note: I just added a tag to say it's still the same with 2.1.4.14!) Same problem and same solution! Nice! Even if a correction would be better. I have this ONLY on the "jolla1" and not on the "XperiaX"

An interesting observation: turning Android Support off makes it possible to install an OS update. Is this because of some RAM being released?

I think I have a more serious problem. It was showing me the same error message (didn't know about having to switch off Android yet...), then my Jolla began to reboot. Only, instead of starting up again, all I get from now on is a blank white screen. I tried waiting it out to see if it can get through, but nothing happens and the phone doesn't react to anything anymore. So, does anyone have a clue what else I could try?

Thx. But... Oh, I wish I never started this update. It completely screwed my phone up.
