I'd like to be able to use Sailfish devices as audio output, similar to usual bluetooth speakers, which use the A2DP sink role in that case. I know that source is supported, because I can play through speakers just that way and software-side support is there too, as far as I know, in bluez and pulseaudio (there's a few guides on how to accomplish this kind of setup with a PC). The question is, does the hardware support that?

I know that an app doing this kind of playback won't get into harbour anyway since I'll most likely have to modify system configuration files, but that's not a requirement at first.
