I want to add a wireless charging coil in an Intex Aqua Fish. Where on the upper PCB (L510MB_V0.2) is an easy spot to connect the charging 5V and GND, usualy provided by the USB?

Are diagrams or similar information available of the upper PCB (L510MB_V0.2)?

@fmotl - The Intex unfortunatelly doesn't has those contacts accessible from "the other half" backcover. There is need to open the middle frame...

For others, willing doing the same:

Remove the middle frame, remove all 13 screws

Remove the middle frame from the lower, battery side by gentle lift it. Attention: The power and volume control buttons become lose. Remove but do not lose them.

Unconnect the 3 ribbon cables by lifting the securing brackets (they move 90°) and the cable of the antenna.

Unmount the upper PCB (L510MB_V0.2) by removing the four screws.

Since the cable to the on/off- and volume control buttons is soldered, you canot remove it.

Flip the upper PCB to access the reverse side. image description

Solder two wires leading to the charging coil on the reverse side of the upper PCB (L510MB_V0.2) nearby the USB connector, there are solderpoints marked Vrms and GND. image description image description

The wires can either been pulled through an existing hole, eg. nearby the SIM card slot or even easier: drill a hole in the middle frame on a matching point. image description

Put everything together. image description

Connect charging coil with your wires and tape it to the middle frame. image description

Hi, Thanks for the pictures, I attempted to do the same, but mine doesn't charge if the data lines are not shortend(looks like this [https://together.jolla.com/question/9430/charger-recognised-as-usb-cable-and-charging-doesnt-begin/]). Did you have to fix this problem? I don't want to short the data lines inside the phone.
