I am using Aqua Fish (Jolla C Image flashed) Before few updates ( In Haapajoki) It was possible to select default calling sim on switcher panel before calling but now sometimes I cant change it and only see which is default sim. ONLY reboot or homescreen restart fixes it.

*Issue resolved *

Today I looked into the Problem and found that It was a network Provider problem as I get similar situation on android phone . Issue with network is that Sometime outgoing Or incoming calling becomes Impossible untill we disable and enable the sim ( In this probing Is used different Sim cards of same network : ).Thanks for the assistance though

Off topic: Forgive me my curiosity: have you really flashed your mobile from Jolla C to AquaFish? Why? Wouldn't be easier to buy an original AquaFish? The opposite direction would be better from AquaFish to Jolla C I think. Jolla C and AquaFish are very similar but not identical internally devices - however I don't suppose this would have any influence on your problem with control of switching SIMs.

It is actually Aqua fish to jolla C, I forgot to type Jolla C Image , My mistake and Yes it is minor bug but still matters . too many minor bugs are bad side of an OS

AquaFish is better HW then Jolla C, just a bit only but still. For me EVERYTHING about dualSIM, triSIM and moreSIM is essentially&vital.

As nobody has confirmed similar problems, nor any patch, consider this can be a HW problem.

ANYTHING YOU TRY-YOU DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK If SIM does not contact correctly with slot connectors the device interprets SIM is absent, what means impossible are any calling to or from this SIM. It can be caused (most often): (1) dirty connectors (2) a gap between slot connectors and SIM contacts, "too loose" slot, SIM can move inside the slot and connectors are not sticking physically as they ought to. The slot contacts should be like SIM pressing springs. If one or all are bent too much, it may not be the contact, and therefore the device see "no SIM" state.

RE (1) clean SIM card, best way with ethyl alcohol - spirits (best 96%) etc., but any alcohol must be clean - no additions, so not any sweet vodka etc. Clean alcohol removes fat and dust deposits. And don't reacts chemically neither with metal nor plastic. Use a piece of clean cotton to do this. (2) (a) if SIM inserted into slot is moveable too easy, especially left-right, consider exchanging a SIM card to a new one. SIM card must have correct geometrical dimensions to fits the slot correctly-ALL dimensions. (b) You could try to use a self-adhesive tape like from 3M or Scotch tape to increase the thickness of the SIM card to increase the pressure on the slot contacts. Place one or more tape layers on SIM card but on the side without (!) metal contacts - note: tape must be fixed to avoid separation etc. (c) Sometimes but only if you are skilled enough - you can try unbent connectors using a pin (Phone off, charger disconnected, all SIM and battery disassembled, AND MOST important be careful as your hand should be grounded like for soldering electronics to avoid static electricity which can brick the device!). You must not damage slot-a broken contact can be unrepairable.

I am happy Sailfish OS is not blamed and assumed not guilty. Anyway from time to time I use 3 SIM cards of the same provider and inserted into and active with one mobile, but hasn't observed anything like this. Ever. Have you altered SIM your cards or settings anyhow? Have provider explained how that was possible? If that would be a provider/network fault that would mean that probably the SIM card A, that blocks SIM card B, occupies connection and frequency. That would mean an activity perhaps, and that would mean "something is active and connected" perhaps. So unless you are not officially invigilated for a reason, then perhaps you are hacked or spywared? I am just curious how that was explained, what was a reason? Because that also would mean that one mobile can block another mobile. What would be quite interesting findings. Also interesting as seems that is only one case reported. What is the provider's name?

Rcom in India is very irresponsible network ( Reliance Communications) http://www.livemint.com/Industry/ZNfBYfxV3s94qdjcptSTnM/Indias-best-and-worst-telcos.html But as it is cheaper i have 2 Sim cards ,Tried to call from one to other & other Networks too.

Thx, seems old truths are always true: "if you don't know what is this about then this is about money". After inked article I see they have taken on "the cheapest services" with the lowest quality. I think there is no other way but to complain. Seems their infrastructure or its software is a bit to un-matured.
