GPS location service doesn't work without cell tower ID. If I select Location and Device-only mode and set the phone in flight mode, GPS won't work. I assumed that would take longer to get fix but if flight mode is on, it won't ever get fix.

Is there a work around to get GPS only working?

Intex on version 2.1.0.11

@jalomann I agree only precise GPS location works on my Intex Aquafish, the Modzilla Assisted or other custom features dont appear to work with Android apps running in 2.1.0.11 SFOS, i believ Alien Dalvik suppoet may simply be missing. It makes it a little confusing and frustrating, also even ONLY GPS takes minutes to aquire using the Aquafish phone.

GPS device location integration by Jolla is sorely lacking in my mind, it may only work on Jolla 1, or ac devices which makes it largely impractical. I am not saying it doesnt work at all its just buggy, slow, and inaccurate often times.

Same bug on JollaC. No update if flight mode is selected. When flight mode is set off, the native app Maep finds the location fast.

I have to continue this old thread, because...

I visited Berlin another weekend and had to remove the sim card from my phone to get the position and...

I lost my sim card.

Answering to myself, because I asked about work around... The device will get position if SIM-card is removed.
