When scrolling within the UI of Sailfish I often find myself missing a visual and haptic feedback when I hit the bottom of a screen. With other OS's like on the N9 you would hit like a elastic effect stretching and then bumb back.

This can't be implemented due to a patent owned by Apple. The so-called '381 patent covers bounce back behaviour.

This is actually not written in stone. The interesting part is a certain video that could be considering ruining the novelty of the patent for Apple, since no grace period exists in the EU! Because of this reason, the case with Motorola in Germany has taken a new spin and it has been ruled against Apple. So it could very well be possible.

Neo ( 2014-01-17 17:42:12 +0200 )editI'd personally like it on the top also even if there is a pulley menu. The page should separate from the pulley menu, bounce back and then the pulley menu appear with a little bit of resistance. Getting that right might be tricky.

I wonder how Nokia got away with it in the N9. It's such a nice fun effect.
