[2.1.1.x] superfluous update notifications (again)

Jolla C EA I updated to 2.1.1.23 then to 2.1,1.24. No issues. I cannot remember whether I got notifications - I may have seen the releases were available here. Today I got a notification that 23 was available. I did the 'update' - very quick, unlike the first time. About product said I had 2.1.1.23 I checked for updates and re-downloaded and installed 24 About product now says 2.1.1.24
So the notification seems to be unaware of the version I have installed.
I see several duplicates or similar of this bug, which were released.
