Maps API / showing KML placemarks on map in app

Is it possible (or if not, will it be possible) to use Maps API so that I can e.g. display KML placemarks (provided by me) on the map (provided by the Jolla maps app) inside my own application?
If not, is it or will it be possible to use the Jolla maps app to show external KML on map? (adding a button to application "Show on map" and that'll execute maps app and show the placemarks there and when I quit the launched maps app I return to my app)
