In the last month or so my work Exchange calendar (previously functioning OK) stopped syncing to my Jolla, maybe relating to a recent update. Events are not visible in the Calendar app, even though I can select the Exchange calenders from the Manage Calendars dialog. Email is working.

I've followed the troubleshooting guide, removed and added the account with a reboot in between but the behaviour persists. What should I try next?

This is a killer bug for me - I've come to rely on calendar reminders to get to meetings on time and to prepare myself for the day ahead.

Just tested this in response and my emails are sending. The email app intermittently reports 'problem with sync' on its tile, even though it appears to be working.

Exchange Activesync has indeed gotten even less reliable since the 2.1.1 Jämsänjoki update than before on my Jolla C. Not only is my Exchange calendar full of duplicates now, many recurring events (such as birthdays) are now split over two days, and I have to manually sort them out. Sometimes synchronization doesn't work anymore at all, only rebooting the phone helps. Missed a lot of emails during the last days.

According to the 2.1.1 changelog there were no changes to the activesync implementation.

Confirm reboot fixes sync problem on SailfishX too. Initialised new software with a restore from SD and had to delete/install fresh to get Exchange working properly. Best to note your Exchange account update/sync frequency and reboot if it's outside that (unless away Wi-Fi or mobile data).

Reboot is not necessary as I learned recently. It is sufficient to restart the exchange activesync service, see here.

I have the same issue and it also means, that I cannot use my Xperia right now... too bad :-( After installing Sailfish X i was anxious to use this wonderful operating system again, ignoring the fact that I cannot use some (google play reliant) apps... but I did not expect that Exchange doesn't sync properly. Funny enough there was no issue with that on my old Jolla Phone...

Anyway... I hope that this bug will be solved soon. Meanwhile I am thankful for any tipps/workarounds! ;-)

Had the same problem. Workaround was to delet the exchange account on the Xperia and create a new one.
