Files received over bluetooth have too strict permissions
at least for pictures. Their permissions bits and owner/group are: -rw-rw---- nemo privileged and android apps can't access them. Workaround is to go trough terminal and chmod them 644.

@onion;
I've just bluetoothed 2 images to my Jolla1(2.1.1.26) and checked the permissions. Both images are: -rw-r--r-- (0644).
Which device are you using?, please update your tags to reflect your device type and OS version, thanks.
Spam Hunter ( 2017-09-21 11:06:04 +0300 )Jolla C, 2.1.1.26. File sent from a BBZ10, but that shouldn't affect this.
onion ( 2017-09-21 13:43:29 +0300 )from which device did you receive them? an android device? maybe through alien dalvik it gets set differently? can you try with an alternative OS like Win or Desktop Linux?
PatsJolla ( 2017-09-21 17:20:35 +0300 )Sent from a BlackBerry Z10 device to a Jolla C with the latest public release 2.1.1.26 using native features on both devices so no Android apps or such are involved at this point. Tested also sending from Linux desktop, same result.
onion ( 2017-09-21 17:37:35 +0300 )Jolla 1, from Linux laptop (Dell XPS-13 9350) to the phone. No issues, rights after transfer 644 without tweaking. Using 2.1.1.6
