Sailfish X update periode
Hello my fellow sailors,
am I the only one who finds that confusing? https://jolla.com/sailfishx/
4. What happens to my Sailfish X software after one year, will it still work? Yes, your software will continue to function and we will continue providing standard Sailfish OS updates to the Sony devices as long as feasible. 5. How long are the software updates running for me? A year starting from when? We offer updates and customer service for a year from the software delivery start, which is in October.
So... for how long will we get SW updates (bug-fixes, security updates)
- as long as feasible?
- for a year from the software delivery start, which is in October?
I will buy it anyhow but for sure I would like to know what I am getting
I guess what we need to know is:
- Sailfish X vs "Vanila" SFOS (if there is such thing), what are the differences?
- What distincts "regular" updates from "Sailfish X updates"? Features? Components? I.e., will my camera stop working in a year on XPeria?

You maybe remember the worries before the tablet was released? People wondered whether it would run a different flavour of SFOS, but as it turned out, the tablet received (and still receive) the same releases (although x86) as the phones. I don't see why this case would be different.
