hi, first, thanks to the team at Jolla for this great new release, as a coder myself I can see the work you done and know it's eventually going to have some issues.

Now my question : as many, something puzzle me : Android support works, I can add apk manually, but when browsing the official store - from sailfish X - there no android app available, no here wego, no game, etc...

Is it working as expected or this is just a tiny glitch, maybe the store app not recognizing the android version correctly ?

Meanwhile, as an easy walkaround, you can get the apk from jolla1 and jolla C. Use the file browser app (with show all files enabled) from Root -> home -> .android -> data -> app ; copy to sdcard ; now on the xperia use the same app to install them (enable untrusted app from setting)

I have the same issue. The only available Android app is Aptoide Store. Very strange...

@Moo-Crumpus you do can install android app from the jolla store (not aptoide) !?? that weird because @skvark can confirm this issue too.

As I remember, after setup a few official app from jolla - including android support - failed to install the first time, but process eventually get thought. Since, I tried to uninstall/reboot/install android support, same; manual or aptoide install fine but nothing show up on the official store.

The same for me, also reported in https://together.jolla.com/question/169006/yalp-store-or-f-droid-at-the-jolla-store/

Same here. Apparently only some installations have the problem. Anyone who got this fixed? I also had failed installs of Android support at first.

Android apps are not yet available in the Jolla store for Xperia.

As this is the first device where Android support could be either available or not per user, we need to make some changes in the system. At the moment there is no ETA when we'll get this fixed, but we are working on it.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm still pointing out this is reported from users with android support available. (got mine from the tablet refund). What's really strange is it working for some users, they do see app into the Jolla store.

There's Apdroid but this is problematic for here wego and yalp.

I'm feeling abit stupid now as it's ages ago that I set up a Jolla branded Sailfish phone, but... wasn't the installation of Andoid support always optional? In other words: Wasn't the question "User has Android support / user doesn't have Android support" always something the store would have to handle? As I said, I could be wrong...

@ossi1967 Installation of android support has been optional on the official Jolla devices, but those devices always had access to it. Now one can for example run community build of Sailfish on the Xperia without buying the Sailfish X license. So this situation needs a bit of adaptation on the backend.

Ok, it seems there are some glitches in the Jolla store. I just saw the Here wego app under "Activity" and could open and install it on my Xperia.

I also saw & installed it yesterday on my Xperia X.
