Web browser crashes when starting
On my Sailfish X the, web browser crashes and closes immediately after it has started. It shows it's window for a fraction of a second, and then it is gone. There is only a gray rectangle on the home screen. After several attempts it will eventually start. Even after successfully starting the browser, the same problem repeats, after I close the browser and try to start it again. (Tried clearing all saved data, and setting the browser to close all tabs, but nothing so far seems to affect this.)
Same here. So far I am unable to reproduce the issue, sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I've encoutered it quite a bit on the Jolla C, but it thankfully didn't happen very often on the Xperia. But if it happens, it could be more annoying - the Xperia is significantly faster than Jolla C, so the crash happens much faster and there is a smaller time window for doing something about it (like switching to different URL). The trick described above (opening a link from a different application) might work around that though.
BTW, I've read somewhere that removing the ~/.mozilla folder could fix the crashing, but I've started with a clean one on the Xpearia and it still sporadically happens.

pawel ( 2017-10-13 21:54:33 +0200 )editEven if the last visited site was perfectly ok, say wikipedia opened without problems, next time I open the browser this still happens. And this happens even if I select in the options that the browser should close all tabs on exit - so there shouldn't be any previous page that it is trying to open.
