Display orientation locks video recording orientation
When Settings->Display->Orientation=Portrait, video recording happens in portrait even if the phone is physically positioned in landscape. Example on how it looks when video is played back on PC: screenshot.jpg
I honestly can't tell what your issue is - can you rephrase it without emotion? perhaps add screenshots? settings are in settings->apps->camera.

Giacomo Di Giacomo ( 2017-10-17 15:20:54 +0200 )editXperia X - screenshot added. I held the phone sideways as you do when taking a video and when I copied it to my laptop and played it back it comes out playing length ways instead, like an iPhone video. And the sound works then just takes a pause and is silent for 1/2 a second every 5 seconds or so as has been reported in previous versions of Sailfish. Description of the sound issue - https://together.jolla.com/question/152267/camera-video-recording-choppy-with-big-pauses-in-video-and-skips-in-audio/
SymbianRefugee ( 2017-10-17 16:02:39 +0200 )editIt works for me for both video and photo - my display orientation is dynamic, maybe yours is portrait and the camera is getting confused? Like I said before, perhaps you want to edit your question and remove the emotion of it so that others can help you better. NB: people may not know what "like the iPhone" means as that requires folks to actually have an iPhone.
gabriel ( 2017-10-17 16:10:55 +0200 )editSymbianRefugee - I am getting very confused. What is your issue? orientation or sound? If it's sound, there is another question that was raised before this. If it's orientation, would you mind checking what I suggested?
