Maybe your computer USB port does not give enough current?
juiceme ( 2017-10-18 17:59:00 +0200 )editRemoved the "bug" tag since this is not a bug. The phone is intended to be charged by a 2 A charger and an USB port only provides 500 mA.
Giacomo Di Giacomo ( 2017-10-18 18:09:36 +0200 )editHi.
I would be careful about these 2 Amps mentioned before: the charger provided with my Xperia X only provides a maximum current of 1.5 A. Higher currents may damage the battery!
Regards.
Pasko ( 2017-10-18 20:33:11 +0200 )editDevices will only draw the current (amp) they need / can use. As long as the device is getting the correct voltage ("electrical pressure") of 5 volts, the available amps can be any amount.
see under power here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB
usb can give 1,5 A if made to. the port itself can handle up to 5 usb
emva ( 2017-10-18 21:04:13 +0200 )editOf course it's not a current generator. 2 A or 1.5 A or whatever is the maximum amount of current guaranteed to be supplied without significant voltage drop.
