Too little time to enter puk code

When inserting a new sim card, the puk code must be entered, but the screen goes black after a very short time ... too short to enter the puk code and a new pin code twice, and when turning the device on again the puk code was cleared.

I did try changing the display sleep period to 15 minutes, but that didn't have any effect.

I have tested on Xperia X, Jolla C and Jolla 1, all with the latest update, and found the problem on all.

I had to rehearse entering the puk and pin code, and make a dash for it ... it took several tries any way ;)

There is a known problem with this, which should have been fixed in 2.1.3.1

@Kim Can you double check that 2.1.3.5 is still making things difficult? And perhaps elaborate a bit more on how you landed on the puk code entry? (power up with new sim / something else)

I got a new sim card as my old one couldn't be converted to a nano sim.

When I inserted the sim in the Xperia (running 2.1.3.5) the puk code entry form was shown, and I had the problem.

As a workaround, I tried to insert the sim (with a nano to micro sim adapter) in my Jolla C running 2.1.2.3 with the same problem. Same with Jolla 1.

As I finally succeeded in entering the puk, I cannot verify that the problem still is there, but as I haven't installed any updates I would expect so.
