I have following issue on Sailfish X: on first turning on via hardware button the lock screen does not respond to touch. I have to turn the display off and on again.

I have activated double tap as shown here, could this be the reason?

When adding a comment, please state whether you have used mcetool.

I have used mcetool to enable double-tap to wake and the power button to skip the unlock screen. Sometimes, I also see this problem that the first press of the power buttons shows the display, but the display does not respond. Pressing the power button two times more solves the problem.

I'm also facing same problem approx 2/10 times. Also using duple-tap feature via mcetool.

Same here, using double tap via mcetool as well.

does anyone know how to restore the default setting in mcetool? Would be interesting to try without double tap.

One issue with double tap is that under some circumstance touch panel does not switch back to normal touch reporting => ui does not get touch input events. Power cycling the display with power key => can normalize the situation.

I have observed miserable kernel oops. When I have some time to focus on it, I'll put them in a bug report.

I can confirm that "Power cycling the display with power key => can normalize the situation."

However doing

mcetool --set-doubletap-wakeup=proximity

virtually no issue was observed - it could be just a coincidence though.
