[bug] SFOSX inserting SD card Sony SF-32UY3 = F5122 won't boot [duplicate]
SFOSX (on F5122) will not boot if SD card Sony SF-32UY3 is inserted. Other SD's (tried 2 different) seem to work OK - same SD card works fine in JollaC
Behaviour on power on:
- Unlocked phone warning (as usual)
- Sony logo on white background (as usual)
- Notification led turns on/white for a sec or so and then turns off
- Booting stalls and Sony logo an white background stays on
(waited for 10 minutes but no progress) => turned phone off by pressing powerbutton for a long time
=> took SD card off => tried again - booted as normal re-tried the SD card - same behavior => put the SD back to JollaC and re-formatted it => after reformat the SD is still showing vfat (???) in gui but now the SD card is empty => retried the SD in X => still no boot
(and yes, I do know 5122 is not supported, but maybe someone has access to F5121 and the same series SD card to test if the behavior is the same?)
Edit: just received another SD car - this time some fake Samsung 128GB = same problem (this new SD works OK in JollaC)
Edit2: update to 2.1.3.7 did not fix this :(
you are maybe facing the same problem as described here: https://together.jolla.com/question/169040/sailfishx-microsd-card-not-detected/
Zandi ( 2017-10-31 17:12:38 +0200 )editIndeed, this seems to be the same issue linked above by @Zandi - I also needed to use another SD card.
molan ( 2017-10-31 17:22:00 +0200 )editSeems to be a bug @Jolla could fix to reduce the barrier of switching to Xperia. I also notice permission issues when hotswapping SDCards on Xperia, where backup cannot be written any longer, i had a .nomedia file in the SDCard folder, after removal that might have also been an issue.
