It seems on Sailfish X, you can not install Google Play Store as there is not enough space available according to Google Play Store.

EDIT: I manage to install play store on the X! I have follow this guide:

http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/enlightenment/howto-google-playstore-on-sailfish-x-78829

One thing is you need to know after installing the Playstore do the follow:

touch /data/app/com.android.vending-2.apk

chattr +i /data/app/com.android.vending-2.apk

Then it would not update the store.

Not sure what you mean. If you have installed other apps and there isn't enough space left you need to remove other apps first. Be aware there are alternatives to access the Google Play Store like Yalp (you can find it in the F-Droid store)

Hmm, i have playstore 7.13 running on f5121 using same procedure as on Jolla C. Could you be more specific on the exact error and when it occours?

Got exactly the same problem following HtheB workaround which installs Play Store Build version 4.5.10 (which works for my needs) but elicited out of memory error when trying to update to 7.3.25.K

What's about using another app store, that is offered in the Jolla store? Google Play Store and Play Services are malware, that enables surveillance. I think this is one reason, why Jolla doesn't include this software in the Android support. Intex has done it and I had to remove these packages manually. Afterwards all Android apps are much, much faster and worked without problems.

Apkpure is further alternative for Goolge Play Store.

This is not a option as my apps are from some Belgium company's and not aviable into other stores...

You may install Google Play Store from one of these stores.

Use Yalp Store. It will access Google Play Store and allow you to download apps from there.

@Xray2000 It's also possible to download the apk without a google account. This website for example: https://apk-dl.com/ and there are more of those sites.

On XDA-developers is also a topic about downloading apk files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798789

Please be aware that this is at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any malware or other things.

@Xray2000 I guess you were referring to Belgian mobile banking apps. Most of them work well without Google services and without a personal Google account. You may install them with Yalp store. You may need to save the .apk and reinstall it from time to time.

If the apps you're using don't require play services you can use yalp-store instead of play-store.

Yalp store is an open-source reimplementation of the google-play store so you can still get the apps you paid for.

Very good if we can't install Google Play and Google's services. The point is that we handle Sailfish devices, not Android devices. Want to have Google with Android delicacies? Then buy and use Android device. Less Android stuff (nothing if possible) -> better for Jolla and Sailfish users.

i have used two devices for quite some time (Jolla C without dalvik and Moto Z) now and am happy to be able to finally ditch my android crouch again and have those apps on Xperia. I paid for some, so independet stores are no option.
