I have everything ready to go for my Sailfish X install. Just one question before I do:

Is it possible to re-install Android after flashing with Sailfish X? Not that I plan to, but I'd like to know I have a get out plan if needs be. If so, are there any instructions anywhere? Can't find anything so far.

Thanks

I don't see why not. I played extensively with Cyanogenmod on Android some years ago. I had a library of different OS'es and worked my way through all of them, when I got fed up, I went back to my original stock Android version, admittedly this was on a Samsung S2. Essentially, it is the same thing with Sailfish on SonyX - I doubt very much that you cannot go back to your old OS - we would have seen the uproar from the community if that were the case, but by all means, don;t be guided by what I've said, even though I think the answer will be a solid "of course you can" from those who really know their onions!

If you want to fully restore your phone back to the original condition you have to make a backup of your TA parttition before unlocking your bootloader. instructions howto do that can be found Xperia X: backup TA partition before unlocking bootloader

excellent - thanks. This would be useful to add on the Sailfish X install page.

Yes, tried several roms on the Xperia X in combination with TWRP (recovery software). In the beginning I had some troubles going back to stock, because I could not find the original rom and did not no the existence of Emma. With Emma I succeeded to go back to stock. There is another way with xperifirm (Availible on XDA) and flashtool but not tried that. (typed on my Xperia X with Sailfish X)
