I have got two Xperia X devices. In the first one there are allways word suggestions when typing text. In the second one unfortunately not. This happens from the beginning. How can I activate the word suggestions? Is there missing a DB or file?

do you use the official sfos image on both devices and do you also have "predictive text input" installed on both of them?

I guess you are missing 'Predictive Text Input' (see Harbour)

I had to reboot my Xperia after installing the predictive text input to make it work.

The reason was that i had two valid licenses but the secon license was not correctly associated with the account/IMEI. Since zendesk fixed this and after two reboots i got Android support and could install "Predictive Text Input".
No idea why pawel marked the question/answer as accepted. Thanks for the answers they brought me to the rigth way.

You can also install the "Predictive text input" App from the official Jolla Store which brings this feature. Since this is one of the proprietary Apps, you need to have a valid license associated with the linked Jolla account. As far as I know, the license is bound to the IMEI of your device on the first use, so if you have only purchased one license, you can only use / install the Apps on one device.

Is it the OP who marked this as the correct answer? So what was the issue exactly?

Edit: nope, the OP didn't came here since this answer was posted. Who is assuming things then?

Hello,

I had the same issue, you have to install Jolla-xt9. You can do this if you are in developer mode, via the terminal.

pkcon install jolla-xt9

It worked for me. If you are not in developer mode, I don't know how to do it.

Regards
