Google contacts get lost

With switching from Jolla 1 to Xperia X I am experiencing a problem with Google contact synchronisation.
My setup is as follows:
- First Google account has google.com TLD and contains all my private contacts.
- Second Google account has employers TLD and contains company and work related contacts.
- The contacts do not overlap, i.e. no person is listed in boths accounts.
The problem: Company contacts from second account regularly disappear from Peoples App. In order to see them again, I need to do manual synchronisation via Settings/Accounts. Synchronisation status of both accounts is always active, mails are synchronised properly for both accounts. Affected account is always the company account, regardless of type of synchronisation (to device only/two-way).
