SIM PIN not accepted with Sailfish X
After installing Sailfish X and updating it to the latest version (which runs very nice BTW), I'm having difficulties to get the mobile connection running.
The SIM was in a Jolla 1 before, where it worked flawlessly. If I insert it into the Xperia, the handset detects the SIM, however I assume I have to enter the PIN via "Settings" now (as opposed to the Jolla 1 approach at login).
If I change into "Settings" and select "PIN code", "Require PIN code", I end up in the PIN dialog; everything as expected.
However if I enter the 4-digit PIN and hit the "Enter" button, nothing happens at all. I can enter a few numbers more or go back by hitting "Cancel", that's it pretty.
Does anybody experience a similar behaviour? Any ideas?
Did you already try starting your device with SIM already inserted? That way you should be presented the SIM-PIN-entering dialoge right at the beginning.
I had the issue (with 2.1.3.5, a few days ago), that my Xperia didn't even recognize my SIM (nor SD card) when the device was already booted.

My assumption was that this might have been changed in new Sailfish versions (eg. that the PIN is encrypted with the access code, then stored and subsequently entered automatically at login).

poddl ( 2017-11-15 21:26:05 +0200 )editPin dialog at bootup: I see the same behaviour with a number of SIM cards. I even bought a new one today to have some more proof (O2, D1, Blau). With none of the cards I'm presented a SIM PIN dialog at boot, regardless how often I reboot after inserting it (well, I stopped it after 5 times).
