With my SailfishX all pictures and videos that I've took in landscaped mode, are saved&oriented as portrait. It happens to all my videos and pics. Picture settings 16:9, saved to SD card. In gallery, these landscape taken videos&pictures are show in portrait mode.

Is this a bug or something else?

Do you have Orientation lock on? The orientation of the picture is saved based how the camera UI is oriented so if you have Orientation lock set to portrait it doesn't matter how you keep you phone, the pictures will be in portrait mode, because the camera UI orientation is locked to portrait. It's up to Jolla if they change the picture orientation to be based by accelerometer.
This is the solution to my problem! thanks I used Jolla 1 for years but can't remember that this "problem" occured then. now I have locked my screen to portrait ,mainly because screen locking/unlocking by holding one finger on screen seems to work bad or not at all with XperiaX. wonder why is that!
peakki ( 2017-11-17 17:50:54 +0200 )editAnd there's this one thing too, camera UI doesn't have upside-down mode, so if you take picture while phone is upside-down the picture orientation is landscape either "right" or "left" depending which mode the UI gets stuck when you turn your camera. So picture orientation should be determined by accelerometer and not by camera UI orientation. Something that Jolla should fix, at least that's my opinion. Jolla1 acts the same.
