Anybody found a way to save contacts to an SD card, or to the sim?

At the moment, it appears all you can do is copy from sim - which is a bit useless if you need to attempt a factory restore (as I do in the vain hope of getting my GPS to work)

I can find music, pictures, other stuff on the phone's built in memory and copy that to the SD via the File Broswer, but no idea where the contact info on the phone is stored (other than the 3 vcf cards I forwarded from my old phone)

I know I could reenter the additional info manually, I'm just hoping there might be a more simple option (one that doesn't involve Terminal etc)

In Terminal:

invoker --type=generic vcardconverter -e Documents/contacts.vcf

and you find a "contacts.vcf" file in your documents folder ;)

Do not work for me, when I SSH into phone, both as user and root.

The easiest way i found to export all contacts at once is to create a Backup, then go to the ~/.vault/People/data Folder, with a File Browser or SSH, and copy the all.vcf file to the SD-Card or to the PC

You can backup your contact information, using the 'System Settings', 'Backup' option in the Settings app. Backing up will save the data on the device though, so you will need to preserve the data if you are going to do a factory reset. You can export your local contacts via commandline. See answer number 3 on this issue https://together.jolla.com/question/274/pbap-bluetooth-profile-support-is-requested/ with this commandline tool you can import, too. But be aware that only local accounts - not those from faceboob or google - are exported.

edit: The screen lights now. Backed all data, updated to Vaarainjärvi and now works as if nothing had happened...

Hi,

in my case, the screen does not work. The phone works (as the touch screen works, and I can answer calls). My problem is that I can't made a backup because i'm "blind". Connected by usb, I can see the folders in the phone. Anybody knows where is the folder wich contains the contacts?

The path is home/nemo/.vault/People/data/all.vcf

Maybe you have to turn hidden folders to visible.
