Trying to sync my google calendars. Unfortunately this wouldn't work smooth. Every once in a while an event doesn't get synchronised at all and remains on the Xperia X or in the web calendar. Could't figure out a pattern so far. Since it works sometimes this bug annoys somehow...

Already rebootet, reopened the account on my Xperia X, tried a variety of events in both directions.

Any idea?

Sailfish's Calendar sync seems qite picky on event syntax and mayhap you have a event that blocks the sync process on one of your calendars. You can check your calendar files here: https://icalendar.org/validator.html#l6717 May help localize buggy event files. My Aquafish syncs my google calendars fine, my Xperia does not sync the same calendars. Imports once then stops.

I can confirm this on my Jolla1 too.

Sometimes, even though the actual calendar sync is pulling the appointments from the server to the database in the phone, these appointments do not appear in Sailfish Calendar. This can potentially be fixed in the following way:

Delete the sync state files of calendar with command

devel-su -c rm -f /home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Sync/gcal.ini

The next sync should be a "clean sync" which should pull in all of the events from the server.

Not my solution, but I can't promote jovirkku's comment to an answer. Like others, this solves the issue for me too:
