Does this mean no more twitter feed?

As there is no facebook feed?

Yes, obviously. What 3rd party app developer is going to pay $14/month for every user of their appfor stream access? But this is great news, since nobody should be using Twitter. If having a superimposed limit on the amount of characters you can use for a post is your thing, you should instead use Mastodon: https://joinmastodon.org/

Free, open-source, decentralized, crowdfunded, with NO ads and NO tracking. Why you would sell your soul to companies that just want to analyze you and whore you out to advertisers is beyond me.

I like the news feed, thats the only reason I have Twitter. If the news / events feed disappears what is the point of the event feed?

i red somewhere else that it only affects the live view. Implemented in talon and other 3rd party apps. no live view is available on sailfish or native twitter client. So this shouldn't bother us until they change something else too
