2.2.0.29 Bluetooth silent mode bug

When i listen to music i always put my Xperia X in silent mode, so the music is not interupted by the alert sound.. After the update, the SMS alert still goes through even if in silent mode.

There really is a serious bug with this update and bluetooth, this is alarming to say the least, scary enough to keep me away from that update

PS: To all Xperia X users out there, is it working with Apple Airpods? I want to switch to Xperia X soon, but still need the information to validate my choice. Is anyone kind enough to ease my fears?

I'm using VW in-car stereo and B&O wireless bluetooth speaker at home. Both with same behavior.
