AFAIK - you can connect to your device in the following ways:

  1. With USB cable - this makes your files accessible with your PC. Easier and faster, but the device needs to be on the cable.
  2. Through WiFi (with application that support SSH) - note that you can use a graphical explorer like WinSCP. A bit more complicated to set up at first, but your device can be in the other room :-).

Note that to use SSH you need to enable Developer mode and setup the password in Developer mode settings. You will be able to login as user "nemo" (and the password you set).

This is quite similar as in Nokia N9.

Yes, I have exactly same issue. I don't have my Jolla device yet, but I have read issues with mass storage mode in OSX (talk.maemo.org).

Bare minimum should be that you were able to transfer photos/videos/etc to Jolla from laptop/desktop computer. What's current state of file transfer between device and ANY operating system?

I have win7 and usb cable works with no problem (like on N9). (I have developer mode enabled)
