Hello,
after updating to 2.2.1.18/Nurmonjoki, I started experiencing issues with sms status on my second sim card, which is roaming, if that could be relevant:
- SMS status is locked to "Sending..."
- SMS is still received on the other end, I just don't get the information
- All SMSs sent from this SIM card have this issue until I reboot the phone.
- Keeps coming back after a few days.
Also Jolla C 3.0.0.8 - see dup in comment. Retagging.
I have this issue appearing from time to time for almost 2 years. I don't know if roaming is a factor, but I have the impression that it occurs more often in poor coverage.
Very annoying but sms seem to be correctly sent and received all the time despite the "Sending..." status.

Alex ( 2018-09-23 10:57:11 +0200 )editThe issue is slightly different from the one linked to since I have never experienced that the SMS is not sent - the status is wrong but sms's are received succesfully on the other end.
damien ( 2018-09-23 18:08:50 +0200 )edit@damien: I didn't see that the receiver never received the sms in that linked issue. My issue (as can be seen in my comment in the other thread) is the same as yours, i.e. the sms is sent, but the status is never updated.
Mohjive ( 2018-09-25 15:11:19 +0200 )edit@Mohjive quoting the original question: "The intended recipient won't receive the sms even after some hours and after rebooting the device and also the status won't change after both actions."
Though a subsequent edit says: "Still present on 2.1.1.24 ( ~40% of time - Operator : Sosh (Orange FR) Frequently sms are received normally but status stays on "sending" for a while)"
For a while suggests that after a while the status changes to received. This is not the case for me, it remains stuck to "sending" forever.
So issues differ - though it is clear your issue is the same as mine and I think the forum does not need to be so fragmented. It's fine to mark it as duplicate, but I have to say that I was a bit surprised to see my issue get closed without letting me a chance to accept it as duplicate ( @Alex ).
