Hi, I'm using the mail app of Sailfish X on my Xperia X. If I delete emails of my GMX account in the app the mails are not deleted on server. I sync with IMAP. The issue started after reflashing SFOS. Anybody who knows a workaround? Sending and recieving mails works perfekt.

@Edz what exactly did you edit?

The last word of your title was missing the middle R in seRver.....you typed 'sever' instead.

On my id, if you click where it says 'updated' you can see what edits were made.

Do you happen to use WEB.de or GMX?
Those seem to be problematic with SFOS due to directory names. E.g. I have a directory for drafts that won't be synced, like your trash directory. Either Jolla Mail does not recognize the naming scheme properly or the provider uses non standard names.

with gmx or web.de its usually their mistake with non-standard behaviour/setups.

I did find the mistake. The Sailfish Email App creates a local Trash folder (Gelöschte Elemente) instead of using the defined and already existing Trashfolder in my account. Maybe because it has a german name? Sailfish should update the app with preferences like folder management.

I also have dual trash folders Papierkorb and Deleted items. Working with and Eclipso account. Also the mails are not deleted from the server. Thanks for looking into this.

Solved the problem. I created a new folder on my account called "Trash". I deleted my GMX account from Sailfish, reboot and created it new. Now the Trash ("Gelöschte Elemente") folder in Sailfish Email App uses the created "Trash" folder on the server. It's just a workaround, but fine for me.
