Bug: MMS not working without a proxy address
This is a bug, mms settings without a proxy is (still) not supported by Jolla/Sailfish. Since this operator claim to be first in the world ( https://support.vimla.se/articles/article/frequently-asked-questions-about-vimla-2-0 )with a new kind if SIM-card this should be fixed, who knows when other operators decide to switch out the SIM cards? My operator has to this day not given me a workaround by providing me (as if yet, it seems to be a bug only in jolla/sailfish devices with a proxy. 7/4 2019
My situation: Not many Jolla users with this operator AND 2.0 SIM. Not many, if and Sailfish users on a Vimla 2.0 contract. Looks like I will either have to switch From Sailfish (I only own Sailfish phones) or switch operator (I do get a goid discount though, so I'd rather not). Currently living without MMS, which is frustrating. Thinking about getting a XA2 (but it,'s too big) and use android on it until Jolla maybe fixes MMS, My Jolla1 and Jolla C feel outdated (and camera is broken on my C since long).
Original post:
I recently switched sim with my operator Vimla in Sweden from Vimla to what they call vimla 2.0 (keeping my phone number), a sim card which is prepared for new kinds of services in the future.
From what I understand they are now, with Vimla 2.0, a separate operator and not bound to Telenor like before (so they have to fix roaming in some countries), if that helps.
After the update I can't send / Receive MMS.
Both phones (Jolla C and Jolla 1) has trouble both sending and receiving MMS, both are updated to Sailfish 3.0, but the problem was there before updating too.
If I choose to reset my settings I get the old Vimla 1.0 ones so I have to set the new ones manually (this is the same for all costumers). Settings are here: https://support.vimla.se/articles/article/instaellningar-foer-data-och-mms-foer-vimla-2-0
Screenshot of my settings:
Error log in MMS Logger (same on both phones)
Send:
Receive:
Tried different user agents, did not work.
Tried changing file size limit.
Tried combinations of IP, Dual, Ipv6, Pap, none etc.
Sent MMS Logger log to Jolla.
Is this Sailfish, my operator or wrong settings?
I will test SIM on an iphone shortly (I only own sailfish devices myself).
Updated with pictures.
Could you try with the wlan disabled and see if that works?
