Hi all, The flashing guide for Xperia XA2 is missing a step: After unlocking the bootloader, one has to re-enable USB debugging (by executing steps 4.1 and 4.2) because the phone configuration is reset to factory status. Failing to do so will lead to the flash script not finding any device.

Please update the line "IMPORTANT NOTE: Detach the USB cable, restart the device and let it boot up to Android UI – Please go through the startup wizard before turning the device off again"

as follows: "IMPORTANT NOTE: Detach the USB cable, restart the device and let it boot up to Android UI – Please go through the startup wizard and repeat steps 4.1 and 4.2, before turning the device off again

Hmmm, I didnt have any issues, but I'm also not sure i followed that step... Does anyone know what it is important for?

The flashing guide falls short in a few areas IMO and I did email Jolla zendesk about it but I doubt they took any notice - Not enough importance is pointed out about having the latest and most up to date fastboot software and where/how to get it - the need to be SU in the terminal - and the footnote "(Note that your Xperia device must have an Internet connection when doing this.)" that should not be a footnote, it should be at the top of that section. Also the point about not plugging the phone into the front USB ports and using the back, (directly on the mobo) and a rough idea of HOW LONG the process should take, so that people like me that had never done it before and encountered a problem they weren't ready for, have got a least a CLUE that something isn't adding up right, but I won't hold my breath that they will amend the instructions any time soon.

@davekelly if u follow the windows installation for flashing Its indeed not clear/complete, but on Linux its more easy regarding commands in terminal etc. But if u never done it on win/lin I can understand people get stuck .! My thoughts , u don't have to agree lol.
