Sailfish 3: Can't change blank timeout on lockscreen
mcetool --set-blank-from-lockscreen=5
doesn't work anymore, timeout is fixed at 30s. Any chance to work around this or just any info about this?
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

and there's also https://together.jolla.com/question/166850/how-to-add-never-sleep-to-display-settings-and-keep-display-on/
mcetool uses standard command line option parser, which accepts partial long options as long as it is long enough to match just one complete form i.e. at the moment "mcetool --set-blank-from-lockscreen=5" is treated as if "mcetool --set-blank-from-lockscreen-timeout=5" were written.
That said, the setting itself does not work as intended -> I filed an internal ticket about this.
With the advent of camera on lockscreen etc the timeouts were tweaked so that we are supposed to toggle between shorter "from lockscreen" and "not in lockscreen" timeouts depending on whether user interaction is expected or not - and now it seems that this toggling logic got broken for one or another reason.
Thanks, I shortened the string unintentionally... but mcetool takes shortened strings as well it seems (no error message) and using
mcetool --set-blank-from-lockscreen-timeout=5
doesn't work either.
weird - have you tried reinstalling mcetool?
I didn't know mcetool could use shortened strings, thanks for the info.

Add "wallpaper"/"Ambience" setting to Settings/Display [released]
I couldn't find the exact string you've quoted, but I found one very, very similar and is likely what you're needing;
