Cannot install install Android-Support on XA2 Plus [answered]

Today I noticed that the purchased version of Sailfish X is availale on shop.jolla.com. I had no problem installing the predictive textinput and MS Exchange Support. But I am not able to install Android-Support... Anyone out there with more success?

The paid version of Sailfish X for Xperia XA2 models should not have been available yet, it was a mistake on our side.

How ever, if you already bought it, you don't need to do anything. We will let you know when the Android support is available and can be installed from the store.

HaHa, kind of sorry for having stormed the shop. But i absolutely appreciate being able to use Text Prediction now with XA2. So well as a kind of report, install of Exchange and Text prediction worked just fine. All the best for a successful new year!

I am wondering if you are aware that Android support isn't released officially so far? You have to wait at least until end of January: https://blog.jolla.com/new-sailfish-x-support-xperia-xa2-variants-free-trial/

And I doubt that it is possible to install it for release 3.0.0.8 ;)

It shows up in store with 3.0.0.8 after purchase, so people will certainly try to install it like stated above.

Thanks, I was not aware, that working android-support for XA2 will be part of Sailfish 3.0.1. As ljo mentioned, android-support shows up in the store already.

Ah... ok... that explains it ;)

My XA2 Plus as well is eagerly waiting on the desk for 3.0.1 for some weeks already and I didn't try to install SFOS on it before the official release… So I was not aware that in the shop Jolla is far ahead of his own schedule ;)

Sending Messages today at midgnight therefore will happen with the Xperia X. Happy New Year ;)

Android Support is already available for the Cbeta group as mentioned in the Store. In January, the EA group will get access to it.

Same problem here. Today I downloaded the Sailfish X version. However, Android support could not be installed. I was asked during initial startup process to install it, which I did. However, it seemed not to be installed, so I retried it, using the Jolla shop which actually resulted in the error message that it cannot be installed. Maybe this is a problem due to my previously installled trial version of Sailfish X. I opened a support request.
