Update from 3.0.0.8 to 3.0.1.11 failed on Jolla Phone

My main problem is already solved as I've updated to 3.0.1.11 successfully in a second attempt. But maybe it's still helpful to find out why it didn't work before. I attached the update log file.
Before update I did the pkcon refresh cause it had been recommended before regarding the issues with update to 3.0.0.5/8, don't know though if it made any sense. Then I started the update per GUI. The progress bar on the update screen either showed no progress or full progress after some time (don't remember), didn't watch it the whole time, anyway it was clear that there was no real update going on. So I pushed the power and volume up buttons to reboot and could see a update failed message before reboot. So the update didn't hang completely.
Before the second successful GUI update attempt I cleared package cache per Utilities, what does it do by the way, same as pkcon refresh?
Not a real answer, but have you tried the steps as described here? I had a similar problem during updating. These helped.
