Notes overwriting other notes

Firstly, I cannot provide reproduction steos for this because it happens infrequently, but when it does occur, it's extremely frustrating.

i've noticed this issue since late 2017. Given that I cannot find any similar topics, I presume it's difficult for others to reproduce.

i have 2 notes, note A and note B. Each have several different lines of content. Note B may have have had little or no editing over the past 30 days.

Sometimes, when I launch Notes, I see two copies of note A and note B has disappeared. I presume a copy of note A has overwritten note B.

This has happened around a dozen times since late 2017. I've tried many different test scenarios but have been unable to reproduce it once.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

I only noticed it twice. It was annoying enough since one of the notes that disappeared was not backed up, and thus gone for ever. At that occasion the notes were adjacent in order.

I've had notes that were adjacent to one another (where one disappeared) and when they were not near each other at all. Again, another scenario preventing me from re-producing this.
