90% of the apps I tried only open in portrait mode and there is no way to force them to landscape mode. Even apps like Heebo who have a landscape mode

Have you tried ''allow any orientation except inverted portrait'' patch? this one frorce all app any orientation but inverted portrait to prevent trying to answer call the wrong way.

Maybe you should complain to the corresponding app authors. As far as I know, its also up to the app to limit the orientation choices.
rinigus ( 2019-02-28 09:27:39 +0300 )Yes of course. But not all apps are maintained anymore. And a way to force stuff into landscape as an overwrite to whatever the app author set is possible and doable as patches show and works mostly without issues
