Hey sailors :)

I'm looking for interested sailors in the Cologne/Bonn area of Germany for a user group much like the one that meets every month at C-base in Berlin. I thought of something like a FSFE Local Group(eg. https://wiki.fsfe.org/LocalGroups/Bonn) but for SailfishOS/Jolla related topics.

If you are interested and/or have an idea, please comment and if enough users are interested I'll look for locations.

A possible localtion would be the Bonnlab.

EDIT/Update: I've created a Telegram group to meetup and decide for a date; please ping me on freenode at #sailfishos or in Telegram at SailfishOS Fan Club/Community for invitation.

2nd EDIT/Update: We could get a devroom at Froscon 2019 in Germany: if enough are interreseted I'll organize everything. Need voluteer for that.

3rd EDIT/Update: We had a well visited meeting (about 30 attendees) at FrOSCon 2019 in August and decided there for a monthly meeting in Bonn (see answers below).

Yep I have a general interest aswell. Depending on how many people we could also meet in Cologne somewhere :)

+1 but will be about ~70km drive for me, so will not be there every time..

If it is just a few people meeting, reserving a table or side room in a restaurant may be sufficient, instead of renting a meeting room.
I'm in, if we can find a date, which accommodates all.

I'm just a user, but I'd stop by too, especially if it's in Cologne!

At the Sailfish OS meeting at the FrOSCon 2019 we finally managed to set a frame for this:

Monthly on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening in a restaurant within walking distance of the Bonn main railway station. First meeting will be on a Thursday at 8 p.m., but that may be adjusted for subsequent meetings, if necessary.

I currently aim for the second Thursday in a month, hence hope to successfully make a reservation for the first meeting on 2019-09-12. If so, I will post a new answer with the location etc..

Note, that there was a general agreement, that it would be nice to occasionally meet in walking distance of the Cologne main railway station instead (there are many brew-houses and other restaurants between it and the Rhine river), if somebody volunteers for selecting a suitable location and make a reservation.
But let us first assess how many people show up at the first two meetings in Bonn.
