USB-C Sound output disable / Choose default sound output

I fail to find an option to choose the default sound output when plugging in my usb-c dongle which also has a sound output. I want to use the USB-C dongle for ethernet or usb-a attachment but not for sound.
On the Gemini PDA the sound seems to be not detected at all btw.
