Using Firefox for Android on Sailfish 3.1.0.11, my scenario is:
- Select the text, 'boomers' from the HTML page.
- Select the copy icon (highlighted).
- Select the native Sailfish application, Notes.
- Open a new/existing note.
EXPECTED: The clipboard should contain, 'boomers'.
ACTUAL: The clipboard is empty.
- Select the text, 'theguardian.com', from the browser address bar.
- Select the copy icon (highlighted).
- Select the native Sailfish application, Notes.
- Open a new/existing note.
RESULT: The clipboard contains 'theguardian.com'.
Although the following workaround should not be considered acceptable, it is possible:
WORKAROUND:
1, Copy HTML text within the Android browser application.
The text is not yet available on the clipboard for native Sailfish applications.
2, Paste the text into the address bar.
3, Copy the text in the address bar.
The text is now available on the clipboard for native Sailfish applications.
