Hi there,

I am having trouble setting up my google calendar via CalDAV on my new phone (which by the way still works fine on my Jolla 1 with the newest SFOS version). I've tried different configurations:

Server address:

https://www.google.com/

or

https://apidata.googleusercontent.com

I always get an unspecific error while trying to save the settings, so I can't even set up the account, let alone, sync anything.

I tried to get a more detailed log:

 journalctl | grep caldav
Apr 07 18:23:38 Sailfish [1293]: [W] unknown:0 - Profile file not found: "/home/nemo/.cache/msyncd/sync/onlinesync-caldav.xml"
Apr 07 18:23:38 Sailfish [1293]: [W] unknown:0 - Failed to load profile: "onlinesync-caldav"
Apr 07 18:23:38 Sailfish estart[2641]: [W] unknown:0 - writeProfileFile() called, forcing disk write: "/home/nemo/.cache/msyncd/sync/caldav-sync-32.xml"
Apr 07 18:23:39 Sailfish caldav-client[9016]: [W] unknown:0 - This device does not have a BT adapter
Apr 07 18:23:40 Sailfish caldav-client[9016]: [W] unknown:0 - sqlitestorage.cpp: 193 - database "/home/nemo/.local/share/system/privileged/Calendar/mkcal/db" opened

but that does not really help me. I've also tried both of these variants:

https://developers.google.com/calendar/caldav/v2/guide#connecting_to_googles_caldav_server

Can anybody hint me in the correct direction? I would really like to switch to my new phone, but without a working calendar this is no fun. (and yes, I am aware, I could use the google-account offered in settings, but I want to give google (and FB) as small access as possible.

Thanks a lot!

You may use the official documentation about collecting sync logs to shed a light on what is wrong here. Personally, I don't think you give the big G any less information by using *DAV instead of a dedicated Google account.

Thanks for the hint towards the detailed logs. I'll give it a try some time this week.
