Recovery-mode how-to for xa2 needed
Hi sailors,
today my little son played around with my new Sony Xperia XA2 and after 10 attempts my phone ist permanet locked:-(
I found the how-to
https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002996893 but the article is only for Xperia X and not the XA2 devices
As shown under point 3.2 I tried to unlock with /usr/lib/qt5/plugins/devicelock/encsfa-fpd --check-code 12345 but this doesn't work. (replace "12345" with your correct security code) I checked the files within this directory and I found one file with a similar name (encsfa).
I tried the same command with that filename /usr/lib/qt5/plugins/devicelock/encsfa--check-code 12345 (replace "12345" with your correct security code)
Fortunately this command works for me and my phone is unlocked again.
Please Update/improve or add the recovery-mode wiki for XA2-serie
regards

all right if you think about recovery mode, means that you think about factory reset...

yes, the developer mode was activated.
p1rat ( 2019-04-23 16:54:30 +0200 )editand as I already wrote, my phone is now unlocked, there is no need for an other solution.

i remark then that by reading twice, i didn't do it til the end...
cemoi71 ( 2019-04-23 17:20:41 +0200 )editAnyway, what is the purpose of your thread? you had an issue, you solve it, good..
. then? what do you want to reach with it?
Is it an How-to? why there is an "?" character?
Is it a reaction about an information missed on a zendesk how-to? a kind of step improvement? please complete with further keywords recovery mode and improvement. The permanent device lock info in title is not strictly needed (that's enough if it's noticed in description) -> it leads only some readers in an other way.
e.g. recovery-mode zendesk how-to for xa2 needed
