Screen not staying on using [duplicate]

After just switching from an original Jolla to an XA2, I've found that Google Maps doesn't work on my XA2 at all. I used it a fair bit on my Jolla, and it generally worked quite well, if a little sluggish. But no problem, I installed instead. It works well and is nice to use.

However, during navigation, the screen turns off after a short while, as if it's ignoring any signals from to keep the screen awake. Obviously this means it's kind of useless for navigating. Since Google Maps doesn't work and I don't know what other applications would force the screen to stay on, I can't be sure the issue is 100% down to Sailfish and not But I would expect it's Sailfish (or AD) that's ignoring the keep alive flag since there don't seem to be any reports of this issue with on Android.

I understand AD is beta on the XA2, so hopefully this is something that is already in the pipeline for a not-too-distant update.

Thanks - I saw other similar questions related to older versions of the OS, but somehow missed this one. Sorry!

Or give Pure Maps a try, to be found on OpenRepos.

Edit: Just saw that someone commented the same in the linked thread, what a coincidence!
