Android app running on background check broken

When setting for any android application if it can run on background or cannot, checkbox does not change visually, have to go back and to app setting again to see it changed. XA2 DualSIM.

I can confirm too on XA2 dual sim. Should be easily fixed

Okay, but the functionality is broken for years, now. Meaning that Android apps can always run in background no matter if the checkbox is checked or not.

Aha, I believed that it is not running at backgroun but they are (looking with lighthouse). That is unfortunate.. So Facebook Messenger Lite runs at background but when it is closed, it does not work - not notifications :(.

Good question. I suppose they intended to implement the feature but never did. Or the feature has a bug that was never fixed..?

I would like to have that control back. Perhaps some other Android app offering same functionality could provide a workaround?
