SIM grayed out Issue
Happens when i reboot my device 90% of the time. With 1 or 2 SIM cards, doesn't matter.
SIM indicator(s) at the top are grayed out. SIM cards are still detected, but do not connect.
Going back and forth between airplane mode, using Sailfish Utilities to restart the network stack, rebooting, nothing helps.. They stay offline. Can't make/receive calls, can't manually select network, can't get online at all
Eventually, after many retries, they come online. Not sure what i do that brings them back, but this is a serious problem. I was stuck outside at night and couldn't contact my ride to take me home for almost an hour until I finally got the phone online.
Doesn't matter which SIM I make primary.. Whether or not I remove a SIM. Nothing helps. My phone is stuck offline.
WiFi works. But SIM functions are broken. This has been going on since January. It was also a problem that happened 10% of the time on JP1.
I have replaced my SIM with the carrier (Orange). Nothing.
In the "Cellular Network" settings page, It shows "Orange Internet" with "disconnected under it". In the "SIM Cards" settings page, both (or one if i have removed one) are detected and active
Personally, I have only one SIM(slot 1), and of course im having the same issue.I just go to SIM settings, enable the second SIM,disable the 1st Sim,disable the second SIM, and then enable the 1st (inserted one). Hope this helps

This reliably fixes a problem I had with J1 in ~90% of normal reboots, where sim is detected, voice works, but SMSs are blocked in and out. I suspect some broken modem init sequence. With some luck this solves yours.
