Edit text in android does not delete space character after word insertion and before full stop [duplicate]

Hello, dear fellas !

Editing text in Android and - as I can see now in the native browser, too - does not delete the space character between the word from the word prediction and the punctuation like a comma or full stop. Please correct this! Thank you!
