Hello folks,

I enjoy my Sony Xperia X phone with Sailfish OS.

But I decided to share one of the tiny glitches that irritates me a bit with the community. Perhaps there is a solution.

A long time ago, I added some of my favourite videos to the phone. And I added them twice, once to the internal memory and once to the SD card. So every video appeared twice in the gallery. Then I removed the videos in the internal storage… OK but the thumbnails remained in the Gallery application. So I have two thumbnails for each video, one functional and the other unfunctional and unremovable via Gallery.

Is there basically a chance to remove the defunct thumbnails? I don't fear the command line but I'm not familiar with the Sailfish internals.

I tried to play with tracker doing some blind-shot reindex commands but that didn't help.

I know you've stated you tried with tracker, but you didn't say what. Generally speaking when I have the problem you describe (which isn't often) I usually find running tracker sorts it all out.

tracker reset -e

Thank you Edz for your response. Tried tracker reset -e but it didn't help. I still see the dead thumbnails. Should I wait a while?

No, tracker should be done in around a minute, give or take a few seconds.
